Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
Auric is a speaking confidence app. This policy explains exactly what we collect when you practise with Auric, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can delete it.
What we collect
Voice recordings, transcripts and speech metrics
We record audio only while you are actively recording a practice or taking part in a live AI voice call. There is no background listening, and the microphone is never active outside those moments. From that audio we derive transcripts and speech metrics such as pace, filler words and your Auric Score.
Account data
Every account has an anonymous identifier. You may optionally add an email address or sign in with Apple or Google, in which case we store the identifier provided by that service.
Purchases
Subscription and purchase status is managed through Adapty. We receive whether your subscription is active — we never receive or store your payment card details.
Diagnostics and product analytics
Crash and error data is collected via Sentry, and product analytics (which features are used, in aggregate) via PostHog. We use no advertising trackers and do not collect the IDFA.
How your audio is processed
To deliver the service we share audio and transcripts with speech-to-text and AI providers acting as processors on our instructions, solely to generate transcripts, voices and feedback:
- ElevenLabs — realistic AI voices for live conversation practice
- AssemblyAI — speech-to-text transcription
- Anthropic — AI feedback and conversation intelligence
These providers may not use your data for their own purposes. We do not use your recordings for advertising.
Where data is stored
Application data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in EU and US cloud regions, with access limited to the systems and staff that need it to operate the service.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app under Profile → Delete account, or by emailing hello.auric.app@gmail.com. Deletion removes your recordings, transcripts, scores and account record.
We do not sell your data
Auric does not sell personal data and does not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
Children
Auric is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit them to create accounts. If you believe a child under 13 has used Auric, email us and we will delete the account.
Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Californian residents additionally have the right to know what is collected and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights — and since we do not sell data, there is nothing to opt out of.
To exercise any right, email hello.auric.app@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
